Brembo’s European catalogue record for brake disc 08.A730.10 lists two units per box and EAN 8020584024416. That packaging field is useful when comparing a quote per disc with one per box; it does not establish the quantity actually offered by an individual seller.
Use an explicit order unit
| Field | Record |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer part | 08.A730.10 |
| Catalogue pack entry | 2 units per box |
| Catalogue EAN | 8020584024416 |
| Supplier selling unit | Ask whether the quoted unit is a disc, pair or box |
For an illustrative request for ten discs, five boxes would satisfy the arithmetic only if each actual supplied box contains two discs as described. Ask the seller to confirm the delivered quantity and packaging. A catalogue pack count is not evidence that a reseller has not split or repacked a box.
Keep the invoice description consistent with the request. The same numeric quantity can represent different amounts if one document counts individual discs and another counts boxes. Do not compare the totals until the selling units are aligned.
Packaging identity is not application approval
The part number and EAN help identify a catalogue product, but they do not select it for a particular vehicle or verify the authenticity of a physical item. Obtain the applicable vehicle/application evidence and seller documentation separately.
This article does not give brake installation, wear-limit or maintenance advice. No disc was measured or tested, and no seller stock was checked. It is a purchasing-record example showing why part identity, pack quantity and requested quantity should remain distinct.
