Cross-Border B2B Trade & Procurement Records
Make cross-border parts and equipment transactions comparable by documenting who buys, what is supplied and which party handles each cost or obligation. This is a procurement workflow, not a promise of duty-free access.
Questions to resolve before committing
Where should a trade-rule check begin?
Choose the destination and exact goods before searching for requirements. The ASEAN Trade Repository links national information on tariffs, origin, non-tariff measures and documentary procedures. Use the national authority for the current product-specific rule and retain the document version or effective date.
What should the quotation state?
Record legal buyer and seller names, the exact product schedule, quantity, currency, delivery terms and named place, payment milestones, inspection scope and validity date. Confirm what is excluded. The editorial comparison is useful only if both offers cover the same transaction.
Does regional origin guarantee a preference?
Do not equate seller location with qualifying origin. Check the applicable agreement, origin conditions, documentary evidence and destination procedure. A trade repository is a research starting point, not confirmation that a particular shipment qualifies.
Evidence to keep in your comparison
| Check | Record | Do not substitute |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Description, model and classification question | A broad marketing name |
| Route | Origin, destination and parties | Treating ASEAN as one jurisdiction |
| Evidence | Authority, version and applicable dates | An undated third-party summary |
Our editorial method: retain the original file or source link, the date checked and a short note about what it establishes. Mark unresolved points explicitly. This is a practical record method, not a claim that DFC Cari inspected the product or completed the transaction.
