Toyota Philippines’ Hilux page includes a BEV 4×4 alongside diesel variants. The page URL ending in 2-8-e-4x2-at is therefore not, by itself, proof that every displayed specification belongs to that diesel variant. Read the variant heading attached to each entry.
Two examples from the checked page
| Variant heading | Fields actually shown with it |
|---|---|
| BEV 4×4 | 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery; shift-by-wire lever description |
| 2.8 E 4×2 A/T | 2.8-litre diesel engine; six-speed automatic transmission |
These examples identify separate source records. The table is not an equivalence claim, a performance comparison or an assessment of which vehicle suits a particular job.
Prevent a mixed-specification enquiry
Start each supplier enquiry with the full Philippine variant name and the source date. Add the offered vehicle’s own identifying information. Then copy each relevant field from that variant’s specification, leaving a field open when the mapping is unclear.
A battery entry from the BEV record should not be placed next to the diesel engine entry as though both describe one vehicle. The same care applies when a model page uses a shared gallery, family heading or rotating showcase image. A navigation URL is a way to reach the page, not a substitute for the row labels.
For a used or cross-border offer, request the actual vehicle’s version and market documentation separately. The current Philippine family page does not identify the history, condition or specification of an individual imported unit.
Our Philippine D-MAX variant guide uses the same exact-identity approach. See more Buying Guides.
