Perodua Axia fuel figure: keep MDC mode with the value

Direct answer: a Perodua Axia fuel-consumption entry should retain the test-mode label shown beside the figure. The current Malaysian Axia page displays 27.4 km/ℓ with the qualifier “MDC mode”; it is not a promise about a particular fleet’s real-world consumption.

Official Perodua Axia product page checked 14 October 2026. This is a source-reading guide for Malaysian vehicle enquiries, not an economy test or a recommendation to buy.

Keep the number attached to its method

Perodua’s page displays maximum output of 50 kW at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 91 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The fuel-consumption line is shown as 27.4 km/ℓ and explicitly marked “MDC mode.” Nearby copy says the specifications are based on the AV variant. Record those labels with the figure instead of copying a bare number into a fleet spreadsheet.

A comparison is only meaningful when the vehicle, market, variant and measurement basis are comparable. If a supplier or another manufacturer’s document uses a different test cycle, preserve that source’s exact terminology. Do not convert between methods or call a laboratory figure an observed route result.

Separate published data from a route estimate

A fleet may need a route-specific operating estimate. That is a separate calculation requiring its own documented distance, load, traffic, driving pattern, maintenance state and fuel records. This page does not provide those observations, and we have not driven or tested an Axia. Use a written, dated quotation and a clearly described local duty cycle for a procurement comparison.

What this page does and does not settle

The manufacturer’s model page is first-party evidence for what Perodua currently displays about the Malaysian Axia. It does not establish an individual dealer’s stock, a negotiated price, or the performance of an individual vehicle. Confirm the offered specification directly before committing.
