A Singapore ACRA Record Establishes Identity, Not Machinery Supply Capacity

Use an ACRA record to check the identity of a Singapore business, then investigate the exact supply claim separately. An authentic Business Profile is not evidence that a seller holds a particular machine in stock, operates a factory or has a manufacturer’s appointment. Document authenticity and commercial capacity are different questions.

Choose the right official information product

ACRA’s information-products guidance, updated 4 February 2026, describes Business Profile information such as UEN, entity name, registration date and relevant position holders. It also explains that free Bizfile search can show basic status and registered-address information. The buying guide dated 9 December 2025 warns that profiles can also exist for non-live entities, with limited information.

ACRA’s verification guidance, updated 29 January 2026, identifies trustBar for checking Business Profiles and certain certificates. Verification asks whether an information product is authentic; it should not be reported as an inspection of stock or production. Keep the document’s issue date visible rather than assuming a genuine old file answers a current question.

Separate six claims in the supplier file

Manufacturing capacitySite-specific process and capacity evidenceIs the trader being described as the manufacturer?

Follow the evidence trail rather than a badge

Ask the prospective seller for the contracting entity name before searching. Save the search query and date, and compare identifiers across the quote, invoice instructions and registry information. If the supplier uses a trading name, request the link to the contracting entity in writing. Do not label the difference fraudulent without evidence.

Next, pick one offered machine or parts line and trace the operational claim. Ask what record connects that exact model to available stock, an allocated order or a production plan. A general warehouse photograph should be filed as a photograph, not converted into a confirmed stock count. A corporate address should not be described as an inspected workshop.

Keep unresolved questions in the comparison presented to decision-makers. For example, record “identity matched; stock allocation pending” instead of a single “verified supplier” label. This makes the limits visible and helps avoid giving a registry record more weight than it can support.

Questions buyers ask

Does a matching UEN prove the email sender has authority?

No. Confirm the sender’s role and commercial instructions through an independently established company channel.

Has DFC Cari verified the businesses mentioned in its articles?

This guide does not evaluate a named supplier. No stock inspection, profile purchase or brand-authorisation verification was performed for it. Avoid publishing personal or confidential records in comments.
